OPC Pork Industry Leadership Award

The OPC Pork Industry Leadership Award is awarded to an individual who has given freely of his/her time and provided distinguished service to the Ontario Pork Industry. This Award is open to research, extension, education and industry personnel involved in any facet of pork production, promotion and marketing. Nominations will be accepted from individuals, companies, or organizations.

The criteria for this award are:

Contribution to the Industry

  • activities and achievements of the nominee that have contributed to the betterment of the Pork Industry in Ontario

Career and Achievements

  • achievements associated with current or past positions in the swine industry

Community Affairs

  • community service activities outside the nominee’s normal work function that have contributed to the improvement of the community and society

Do you have a person in mind that you feel should be recognized for his/ her services to the swine industry in Ontario? Someone you feel has “gone the extra mile” to help the cause of the swine sector through work within the barn or outside promoting the industry and explaining the plight of the sector to the public? Please submit that person’s name together with a summary of why you feel he/ she should be nominated along with your name and email address in case we need further information.
